Join the band on the first night of the festival in Brooklyn, NY at THE ROSE on Tuesday, October 20th. ROBOTANISTS will be headlining the show and will be joined with Brooklyn natives Backwords and Swimclub, and Cincinnati's own Come On Caboose.

CMJ Music Marathon is New York's largest music festival. This year, bands will flood the streets from October 20-24 for 5 days and nights of over 1,200 artists and 120,000 fans in more than 75 of the city's most venerable nightclubs and theaters.

ROBOTANISTS have recently inked a deal with Los Angeles based music publishing firm, Hunnypot Unlimited, joining an artist roster that includes The Mae Shi, Far East Movement, The Bloody Beetroots (Italy), Striken City (UK), Charlie Mars and others.

Also heading the ship is COO, PJ Bloom, who been involved with Film & Television Music and Soundtracks since the early 1990's, including stints at Columbia Records, Arista Records and the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS).

In his career, PJ has risen to become one of the premier and most sought after Music Supervisors in the Entertainment Industry, having created and produced soundtracks for over fifty films, hundreds of episodes of television, video games and advertisements. PJ’s dynamic career has paired him with such prolific filmmakers and television producers as Michael Mann, John Frankenheimer, Steven Bochco, Mike Nichols, and Ridley Scott, allowing him to render his unique brand of service to nearly every film studio and television network in the Hollywood system and beyond.

His recent projects include CBS powerhouse CSI: Miami, FX’s Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning television series Nip/Tuck and The Shield, Sony Pictures’ Running With Scissors starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Annette Bening and Picturehouse’s The Notorious Bettie Page starring Gretchen Mol and Lily Taylor. PJ is a Music Consultant for HBO Films, a position he’s held since 1998, overseeing major successes like Angels In America, The Life & Death of Peter Sellers, American Splendor and Maria Full Of Grace. And, he consults for Disneyland Theme Parks for their music driven rides and attractions. PJ is a partner in Neophonic, Inc., the largest Music Supervision firm in the U.S., whose slate boasts thirty (30) film & television projects at any given time. PJ is a founding member of the Music Supervisors of America (MSA), a guild currently being established by leading Music Supervisors and Studio Music Executives to serve as the governing body over the entire field. He also serves on the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Film & Television Taskforce.
